Author Study- Karma Wilson

About four or five times a school year we highlight a notable author who has made a significant contribution to children’s literature. Through the highlighted books, and varying corresponding activities our hope is that each child will make a personal connection to these fabulous authors.

For the next few weeks, we will enjoy the rhythmic and playful books of Karma Wilson. Her stories about a big lovable bear and his friends will be the focus of this week’s study. If you find your self at the library, please check out a few of these great books to share with your child at home. Also, Karma Wilson has a web-site where you and your child can  learn more the author and play games or print out activities.

About Megan Shaw

This is my eighth year teaching at Corbett. I am excited to once again be team teaching with Kristin Wold and our new teaching partner, Yianna Belesiotis in a multi-age K-2 classroom. A primary classroom is a special place. I am honored to have the opportunity to be part of a child's life, at such a unique time in their school career. We welcome questions, and encourage families to visit to see what happens in the Trillium room.
