Laura Baker’s Service Project

On November 11th, from 1pm – 3pm, there will be a service opportunity for Corbett Middle School students. We will be packing shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child; Operation Christmas Child is a program (made by Samaritan’s purse) where you can pack a shoebox full of fun things and needed items for a boy or a girl, somewhere in the world like Haiti and places in Africa. I have put a donation box in the hallway of the middle school, right as you walk in, and I have also put donation jars for money in the middle school/high school office and beside the donation box. I do need seven dollars for every box that we pack. You do not have to donate a lot of things, you can just donate a box of colored pencils (please don’t put in used items). There is a list of things needed on the box and right next to the sign-up sheet for packing the shoeboxes on the bulletin board in the M.S. commons. If you want to pack a shoebox on your own go online to www.samaritanspurse.org/index.php/OCC/Pack_A_Shoe_Box/, for all the information you’ll need, and remember, a shoebox can change a life forever. You can reach me at school, I am in Mr. Leone’s class in the middle school.
Thank you,
Laura Baker
