It’s my students’ favorite time of the year… group labs have begun! After spending the first half of the year getting familiar with the kitchen and safety rules, students are now embarking on making various recipes associated with our units of study in small groups. The part they love the most? All food they make is for themselves! Last week students made delicious breakfast smoothies during our Fruit & Vegetable Unit and next week they’ll get to make poached eggs and omelets while learning all there is to know about eggs! By the end of the year, culinary kids will have made over 20 recipes and will be making personal recipe books to take home with them. Here’s hoping they make all these delicious dishes for their wonderful families! GO CULINARY ARTS!
