Salmon Studies

We’ve spent this Fall learning about the mighty salmon. We are now exploring how the salmon connect to the forest and wildlife. We’ve been to Wildwood and Oxbow, but because of heavy rains, have not gotten to view any salmon in the wild. If you are looking for a family outing, I highly recommend seeing the salmon at Eagle Creek. Intermediate students went last week and were able to see many spawning salmon!

Last week we were treated to guests Ken and Heidi Smith who taught us a salmon dance, and explained how all things are connected in Native American culture.

(I think they had fun, despite their straight faces)
