Week 26 in Mr. Houck’s Class, by Jaden Zeigler

Every week one student in our class gets to sit out the super quiz and write the weekly update.  This week’s update was done by 6th grader Jaden Zeigler.

This week in Mr. Houck’s class we are getting ready to finish our Gettysburg Address visuals. We shared our Civil War visuals and I must say my favorite was Isabel’s wooden mule used for punishment in the Civil War.  We also watched a video on the brain of a baby who was born two to three weeks before her brain was done forming.

In the morning the song Reveille is played, and then we have the dice of destiny.  They are rolled to decide the fate of all the teams in the Confederacy and the Union.  Also once a week there is an interview done by a table of students. There are also book groups based on the Civil War, for instance Ghost Soldier, which I am currently reading it’s about a boy who can see ghosts.
