Week 29 in Mr. Houck’s Class, by Hannah Woods

Every week one student in our class gets to sit out the super quiz and write the weekly update.  This week’s update was done by 7th grader Hannah Woods.

This week in Mr. Houck’s class we did brainpop videos, reading emails, light presentations, Tuning, collages, and we did learning about kids’ brains, and math problem solving.

So what is brainpop? Well, it is a sight to go to which has a video about famous people, and then you can take a quiz about that person, and it grades you on what you learned on the video.

Reading Emails are fun because you can ask other kids in the class what they are reading that week and they can ask for help on something.

The light presentations are a project about what light can do or how it is made. We are using computers to make a slide show presentation on the glories of light.

We are also doing Tuning. What we do is we choose our favorite book and you say what you think the story would smell like or what it would sound like.

Collages are about what would your book look like? We cut out pictures and colors. It was something that would make it special.

The brain is also what we worked on. We saw a video of what would happen when a kid gets a tumor in brain.

The last thing we did is math problem solving, and how we could explain a math problem to a baby.
