Week 31 by H7

This week in Mr.Leone’s class we have ben working on all sorts of things.

We have been filling in a time management sheet and then filled in a pie graph to see how we spent our week of 168 hours.  Most kids split their time into sleep, screen time, outside, reading, chores and like little/random things they did. We shared some in class to see what other kids did and to see what they where most suprised at they do more of in their week.

Also this week we have been learning and trying to make a mnemonic device to remember something. Ones you might have heard are Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally or Every Good Boy Deserves Fudge. Some people have some for math or some basic stuff.

This week we have started our last big Social Studies project Reconstruction, which is after the civil war when the country is trying to rebuild the south and help African Americans get full citizenship in the U.S.  Some topics seem really boring to me, but we will see what the kids can do.

Also this week we are doing Ku Klux Klan trials.  There is a defense, prosecution and of course a jury. This might seem like a boring topic to some of you, but for us kids it is going to be a lot of fun.

This week we have been reading Stargirl which is about this girl that is in her own little world and changes her name when she feels like it. This book is good so far and I hope it gets better. So far out of the five books Mr.Leone I think this one is the second best placing after Ender’s Game. If you’re wondering what five books Mr.Lone has read they are The True Meaning of Smekday, Bad Boy, Divergent, Ender’s Game and Stargirl which are all very good books and I think you should consider reading one if not all of them on spare time.
