Preschool News: August 26-30
Hello and welcome back all! We had a wonderful first week in the preschool, how lovely it was to meet everyone and make new friends! We spent the first week building…
…investigating and inventing (we made a sled for our hills!)…
…explored glue and made mountains of glitter…
…and learned how to safely use scissors, as well as other tools in our classroom!
This week we are focusing on how and when to wash our hands at school, as well as inventing our own set of classroom rules (and putting our democratic classroom model to the test). We also began our dinosaur unit with a fossil puzzle excavation and some fresh “toobs” of miniature dinos.
Tomorrow (Wednesday) is the Corbett Grade School Open House, beginning at 5:30. There will be food, community booths, an address from Dr. Trani, as well as an open door to the Preschool classroom! Most of you have been inside, but feel free to stop by and visit with Ms. Tiffany and Ms. Nikki for some after-hours chit chat!
This Friday is also a school day for the district. It is a make-up day for the Monday students in the preschool. We look forward to seeing all our Monday students on Friday!
Last but not least, be on the look out for our sharing schedule, our laundry sign-up, and our PM snack sign-up in the hallway at some point this week.
