We enjoyed viewing student creativity through the home assignment of making Ice Age dioramas! No two were alike and it was so interesting to see what tools students used to make their scenes.

Fire Safety helped empower students to know what to do in case of emergency, and became familiar with medical and fire equipment.

Every week we have an art session. This week: Self-portraits in black tempora! Our timid artists were challenged to make it work with the permanency of paint.

We also enjoyed beautiful views of the Gorge from Rasmussen Farm in Hood River. We drove through orchards, viewing Rooster Rock, Multnomah Falls and Beacon Rock on our way.

Future Dates:

Thursday, 10/17: ICE AGE CELEBRATION

Thursday, 10/24: Big Bear’s and Pumpkin Patch for Kinders

Monday, 11/4: Alice in Wonderland production at MHCC

Bekah Tucker About Bekah Tucker

This is my seventh year as a primary classroom teacher. I have also been a long-term substitute, a special education teaching assistant and an english preschool teacher in Prague.

Outside of teaching, my passions are traveling, trying new restaurants, strong coffee, being with friends and family, and enjoying the beauty of the Columbia River Gorge.

I love being a Corbett teacher!
