Today we began exploring knighthood, both it’s chivalric stories and it’s brutal realities.  Students have been challenged to become knights by doing three deeds: 1) to brave and honorable, 2) to be courteous, and 3) to help the weak and defenseless.  They must determine their own tasks and have them witnessed by Thursday, November 21st.  We will hold a knighting ceremony for all who complete the tasks.

Coat of Arms Instructions

Additionally, we have started working on heraldry.  All knights carried a coat of arms into battle.  Students will create a coat of arms before the knighting ceremony on Thursday so that they are prepared for the battles of the Crusades in the coming weeks.   Two websites that will be very helpful for the completion of their coat of arms are linked here:
