We lucked out today! Along with every other class in Corbett Grade School, we were able to take a two hour tour of the Columbia River on the Columbia Gorge Sternwheeler. It was an amazing experience. The crew of the Sternwheeler had different stations set up on the boat. Students were able to spray the fire hose, tie knots, hear stories about the river’s complex history, and if they were lucky, get a sneak peek into the bridge of the boat.
Next week, I’ll post a Feature Article on Corbett’s main page with a more in-depth description of the trip, what students did, sights we saw, and even more photos!
