At the Regular School Board meeting on August 19, Charlie O’Neil gave his verbal notice of resignation as Board Member, Position No. 3, effective on that date. The Board then voted to advertise the vacancy for new Board member and Budget Committee member vacancies and close applications the day before the next Board meeting.
Position No. 7 of the Budget Committee is vacant, and the Board will act on another resignation for Budget Committee Position No. 3 at its September 16 Regular meeting.
Applications to Board Position No. 3, term expiring June 30, 2017 and Budget Committee Position No. 7, term expiring December 30, 2017 are now available until September 15. The Board will look at applications and may or may not interview applicants and appoint replacements at the September 16 Regular Board meeting.
The Board will officially recognize and accept the vacancy for Board Position No. 3 on September 16.
Budget and Board members must live within the district boundaries and be a registered voter. They cannot be officers, agents or employees of the School District.
