Week 7 – Maddy Langley

This week in Mr. Leone’s class we learned 4 major topics. Hinduism, Western Geography, Rule of 3rd’s and more vocabulary.

We went to Buck Creek as we do every Tuesday, but sadly this was our last week at Buck Creek, but in my opinion, it was the best Buck Creek outing. We had a photography contest! Most people took and submitted pictures of mushrooms. I actually took a very nice photo of a tree and submitted that. Although I may not win, it was all about having fun at our beloved Buck Creek.

While learning about world religions, this week we focused on Hinduism. It’s very interesting actually. We watched a movie on it on Wednesday and mainly focused on it on Tuesday and Wednesday as well.

Have you ever heard of the country Liechtenstein? Well, While learning Western Geography, we focused on Western Europe, their countries and capitals and Liechtenstein was one of them! We made our very own maps and colored them very beautifully. In vocabulary, we learned 10 new words as we do every week. We all prepared skits that had to do with one of our words and performed them in front of class as they wrote down scores… My group got an 8 average! We did the word adjourned. And lastly we learned the rule of 3rd’s which has to do with our photography contest. The rule of 3rd’s was used to capture our photos almost perfectly. Our photo contest will soon enough have a winner and everyone is so excited! Hope everyone had a GREAT week! Have a nice weekend!
