Winter in Our K-1 Classroom

Winter is my favorite time of the school year. Students are in their grooves, they’re making growth and they are excited about what they’re learning. Please enjoy some pictures of our fun month of learning!

The week leading up to Chinese New Year was full of books, art and cultural discovery. Students enjoyed tangerines, which signify luck, as these Chinese words sound similar. Students created skylines with firecrackers and lanterns.

Students are learning about the ice age and ice age animals. Here, Nolan and Ryder dig for fossils

I’m always amazed at what students create during Explore Time

Bekah Tucker About Bekah Tucker

This is my seventh year as a primary classroom teacher. I have also been a long-term substitute, a special education teaching assistant and an english preschool teacher in Prague.

Outside of teaching, my passions are traveling, trying new restaurants, strong coffee, being with friends and family, and enjoying the beauty of the Columbia River Gorge.

I love being a Corbett teacher!
