Naturalists Inside and Outside the Classroom

We are naturalists! Our Artist in Residence, Diane Jacobs, teaches students how to mix colors as they water color their salamanders, snakes and turtles.

Students visited Wildwood Recreation Site this week, hunting salmon and wildlife. We saw salmon fry, a salmon carcass, dragonflies, newts, butterflies, snails, slugs and water bugs, in addition to beautiful Fall colors and views. It was a great day!

Students spent time writing thank you notes to fire fighters. Their words were pretty moving.

Bekah Tucker About Bekah Tucker

This is my eighth year as a primary classroom teacher, previously working as a special education teaching assistant and an english preschool teacher in Prague.

Outside of teaching, my passions are traveling, trying new restaurants, strong coffee, being with friends and family, and enjoying the beauty of the Columbia River Gorge.

I love being a Corbett teacher!
