Climate, China & Toy Trains – Week 21 in Houck’s Class

Every few weeks, one student in our class gets to sit out the super quiz and write the weekly update.  This week’s update was done by 7th grader Kian Hill.  Thanks, Kian!

This week in Mr. Houck’s started out with learning that humor is the most common form of advertising in the Super Bowl ads. But according to top scientists, the ads in Super Bowl LII were a dud compared to other years. Also, in the Super Bowl, playing for the Patriots, Tom Brady might be sponsored by the candy, Butterfingers.

Then on Tuesday, Houck had a substitute and we worked on our Climate Change Cereal Boxes, or C.C.C.B. Also we paired up into groups and started our Train Science Inquiry with Milo’s toy trains.

The day after that we didn’t really do anything because Houck was out for the day, but we did work on our Ancient China essays that were due the next day.

On Thursday we turned in our China essays, and had a global warming cereal party, and learned some facts about the effects that global warming has on our very dear planet.
