Multnomah County Early Childhood Program (MECP)
From the MECP website: Multnomah Early Childhood Program (MECP), under the David Douglas School District, provides early intervention and early childhood special education services to children birth to age five in Multnomah County.
MECP serves families in all eight school districts in Multnomah County (Centennial, Corbett, David Douglas, Gresham-Barlow, Parkrose, Portland Public Schools, Reynolds, and Riverdale).
Services are individually designed to address the special needs of the young child with developmental delays or disabilities. All services are free of charge to eligible children.
Ages and Stages Questionnaire (ASQ)
From the ASQ website: Ages & Stages Questionnaires® (ASQ) provides reliable, accurate developmental and social-emotional screening for children between birth and age 6. Drawing on parents’ expert knowledge, ASQ has been specifically designed to pinpoint developmental progress and catch delays in young children—paving the way for meaningful next steps in learning, intervention, or monitoring.
