2023-2024 Corbett High School Profile
Corbett High School is a small learning community serving approximately 400 students in grades 8-12. We are situated within the Columbia Gorge scenic area on a rural campus 22 miles from Portland, Oregon. Our curricular and extra curricular offerings include:
- 18 Advanced Placement courses
- 12 Interscholastic sports
- 7 student-led clubs including Communicare and FIRST Robotics
- Symphonic and Concert Band, Advanced Placement Art, and Strings Ensemble
Our school has been listed among the top 100 high schools in the nation by U.S. News and World Report, Newsweek, and the Washington Post 15 times since 2008. Our students regularly post strong results on standardized measures of excellence like the SAT and last year, 100% of our seniors were accepted to university or community college.
While we are very pleased with these results, these aren’t the things which motivate us. Corbett High School is motivated by the idea that every student deserves a chance to swing for the fences. For this reason, you’ll hear the phrase “for every student” often. We administer the SAT exam for every student so that no one misses out on the chance to try their best. We build our AP courses for every student so that no one misses out on the biggest ideas or the best learning opportunities. We structure our master schedule so that every student has a chance to connect meaningfully with a caring adult. We build our extra curricular programs so that every student has a chance to participate, regardless of aptitude. John F. Kennedy once said that a rising tide lifts all boats. We are animated by the conviction that we rise together or not at all.
