Troutdale – Corbett Student Bus Service by Randy Trani

There has been lots of interest in the bus service that Corbett School District plans to offer from the Troutdale area to the Corbett Campus. We would like to accommodate all those who are interested in taking advantage of this service – it provides families with free transportation and it alleviates traffic to the school. That being said, it is difficult to know for sure the exact number of students to expect. We are committed to having at least one bus and are currently looking into what it would take to add a second bus if necessary. The bus will stop at the DQ parking lot in Troutdale near the intersection of Troutdale Rd. and Stark St. The bus will arrive at approx. 7:25am and leave about 5 minutes later at 7:30am. In the afternoon, the bus should arrive at the DQ parking lot at approx. 4pm.
If you are interested in this service, please fill out the Troutdale Bus form by clicking on the highlighted text. Please also download and read the  Transportation Rules here. The permission slip needs to be returned to the district as soon as possible. You may scan and email the completed form to Lori Luna at lluna@corbett.k12.or.us or bring the form in to the district office. The form must be filled out in order for your student to ride the bus.
This service is free for students. Families with at least one child enrolled in Corbett School (Corbett GS, MS, HS or CAPS) will be given priority – if a family has a child in both Corbett School and the Corbett Charter, they will also have priority. We would like to provide transportation for all who will take advantage of it, but we must first explore the feasibility of adding a 2nd bus. Once we have the permission slips, we will be able to make a better judgment regarding the number of interested families and students.
