Here are some interesting numbers: Through the first 33 days of school, Corbett high school students generated 627 fewer absences in their afternoon classes vs. the same period of time last year. This amounts to a 22% reduction in afternoon absenteeism in the high school. In addition, there have been no lunch time student traffic citations and no lunch time discipline referrals so far this year. All of these positive changes are directly attributable to the enforcement of the board’s closed campus policy at lunch. Many people have made this possible, but we wanted to especially thank the volunteers of the Corbett citizen’s patrol whose help has been invaluable.
