For parents/guardians and students:
Cross Country is open to any and all students who enjoy running and who want to get better. Whether you’ve been running competitively for years or only run to the refrigerator during commercials we want you on the Cross Country team.
For students:
If you’re not sure if Cross Country is for you (or if you want to get a head start on training for the coming season) we have optional summer trainings on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00-7:30 at Donald Robertson City Park (244th and Halsey) in Wood Village. We meet at the Northwest corner of the park.
The first day of official practice is on August 13th on campus. From the 13th through the 24th practice will be on campus from 6:00-7:30.
For parents/guardians:
We will hold a parent meeting on the bleachers on Tuesday, August 14th from 5:15-6:00. During the meeting I will introduce myself to those of you I haven’t already met, answer questions you might have, learn a little bit about each of you, and go over some of my hopes and expectations for the coming season. If your student is planning on joining Cross Country, please plan on being at that meeting.
Key dates:
Summer training (optional, but strongly encouraged): August 2, 5, 7, 9, 12 from 6:00-7:30 at Donald Robertson City Park
First official day of practice: August 13 from 6:00-7:30 on campus
Parent meeting: August 14 from 5:15-6:00 on the bleachers
